* Prices are expected to rise by 50-100 rupees in the coming days, Rastogi said.
* Meanwhile, prices of maize were steady in Davanagere, Karnataka and arrivals were pegged at 4,000 bags, said Shiva Kumar, a local trader.

* “Prices are expected to remain steady for some time now as the government is not planning to intervene in the market currently,” Mehta said.
