Heavy flood was reported in Nakhon Si Thammarat province located at Southern Part of Thailand. With around 1.5 million rai (240,000 ha) of natural rubber plantation, the province is the third largest rubber producing area in the Country.
The photo shows the flood level was above 1 metre, disrupting tapping activities since 10 November 2014. Farmers couldn’t tap rubber trees as parts of the trees were submerged in the water. This flood would affect NR production from the Province and nearby Provinces.
