US Gulf Coast propane and propylene stocks rose 416,000 barrels to reach a new record high at 44.51 million barrels for the week ending November 14, Energy Information Administration data showed Wednesday.
In the comparable week last year, USGC propane and propylene stocks fell 1.8 million barrels to 31.26 million barrels.
In the Midwest, stocks fell 276,000 barrels to 26.42 million barrels, which is 6.9 million barrels higher than the comparable week of last year.
Atlantic Coast stocks dipped 31,000 barrels to 6.18 million barrels. For the comparable week last year, these stocks fell 346,000 barrels to 4.54 million barrels.
Total US propane and propylene stocks rose 99,000 barrels to 81.15 million barrels.
US stocks of propylene for nonfuel use increased 65,000 barrels week on week to 3 million barrels.
Imports in the reporting week rose 2,000 b/d to 74,000 b/d.
Weekly exports remained flat at 392,000 b/d.
Implied demand increased 14.23% week on week to 1.34 million b/d.
