FUNDAMENTALS
* Malaysian palm oil futures eased for a second session on Thursday as weakness in global
commodity markets put pressure on vegetable oil prices.
* U.S. soybean futures rebounded from near six-year lows on Thursday in a short-covering bounce
and as weekly government data showed solid soybean and soymeal export sales last week.
* Expiring front-month U.S. crude prices settled higher on Thursday in volatile trading after
slumping to a fresh 6-1/2-year low as a supply glut and concerns about China’s economy pressured
Brent crude.
MARKET NEWS
* World stock markets tumbled and Brent oil prices remained under pressure on Thursday as
another slump in the equity market of China, the world’s No. 2 economy, stoked concerns about
sluggish global growth.
