SAO PAULO, Aug 25 (Reuters) – Brazil’s oil regulator, known as ANP, said on Tuesday that it had approved an additional 22 companies to participate in the so-called 13th-round auction of oil exploration and production rights set for October 7.
The 22 companies, which include Statoil ASA (Xetra: 675213 – news) , Total (Swiss: FP.SW – news) SA, Anadarko Petroleum Corp and ExxonMobil Corp, join 12 firms already approved by ANP last week, according to an emailed statement from the regulator.
