TOKYO (Reuters) – Japanese Finance Minister Shunichi Suzuki said on Tuesday that he expected the Bank of Japan to guide monetary policy appropriately to achieve stable and sustainable inflation accompanied by wage growth.
“The government respects independence of the BOJ, so I won’t comment on monetary policy management. I expect the BOJ to work closely with the government,” Suzuki told reporters.
