Wilbert Plastic Services Wilbert Plastic Services is adding capacity in molding and painting at plants in Kentucky.
Wilbert Plastic Services is expanding its paint capabilities at its Easley, S.C., plant and adding injection molding capacity at two locations.
The Belmont, N.C.-headquartered injection molder and thermoformer supplies parts for a variety of industries, including automotive, aerospace, healthcare equipment and consumer products.
Investing $ 2.2 million in Easley, Wilbert is adding a new, fully automated one- and two-component paint line, the company announced.
Wilbert also is currently adding a used 1,800-ton Krauss-Maffei press at its Lebanon, Ky., facility, and is slated to add a 2,000-ton Haitian in Easley in February, both supporting new programs with existing customers. Together, the machines represent an investment of $ 1.1 million for the company, President and CEO Greg Botner said.
“We continue to target large tonnage and increased value-add applications, and that fits within the strategy that we’ve been following and will continue to follow with all of our customers, but it’s been definitely a strategy for us in the southeast that has paid off,” Botner said.
