Richmond Hill, Ontario — Amsler Equipment Inc. has delivered its first PET blow molding machine to El Savador — shipping a refurbished press to Poliflex SA de CV in San Salvador.
Amsler supplied a used single-cavity PET stretch blow molding machine that had been originally installed at one of its U.S.-based customers. The customer had outgrown its Amsler L12 single-cavity press and traded the machine in on a new three-cavity L32.
The Richmond Hill blow molding machinery manufacturer retrofitted the L12, which was built in 2007, with a preferential heating oven, according to Poliflex’s requirements. The machine was completely refurbished. Amsler provided a full warranty.
Founded in 1992, Poliflex is a custom blow molder serving the pharmaceutical, cosmetic, beverage, household goods and food products industries. The El Salvador company runs both injection-stretch molding and two-step- presses to produce a wide range of jars and bottles.
Poliflex is updating its plant to meet ISO 22000 standards for food safety management.
The blow molder is acquiring new molds, and converting existing molds, to run on the Amsler L12. The small, fully-automatic L12 can make bottles from 50 milliliters to 2 liters, with neck sizes from 18-63 millimeters.
Amsler makes all-electric linear PET stretch blow molding machines.
