Italy-based blown film extruder manufacturer Macchi SpA has come out to deny rumors that the company is facing a takeover.
Managing Director Anthony Michel Caprioli states that although “mergers and acquisitions in the film extrusion machinery market, which is largely in the hands of privately owned firms, have been noted in the last years, involving German, North American and Italian concerns… any similar action is not on the Macchi horizon.”
Caprioli said in a statement that he understands that a still-stagnating market in the present realm of international geo-political situation creates a hyper-competitive environment, but he does not pardon the persistent rumors.
Macchi states that the Venegono, Italy-based company’s orders look healthy well into its 2017 calendar, so he is fully focused to charge ahead without any immediate needs to enter into “any holy alliances.”
Macchi which opened in 1965, said it has structured itself internationally with a widespread network of agents and offices in the U.S. and Russia.
