BIRMINGHAM, England—Goodyear has won a sales contract with bus and coach operator Sales-Lentz for its recently introduced Marathon Coach and Ultra Grip Coach tires.
Luxembourg-based Sales-Lentz, which was involved in the field trials of the new tires, had 22 vehicles equipped with the tires by the end of 2012.
The vehicles included coaches for touring, buses for operation across Luxembourg and buses for local operations.
“We know from the experience we had from the field trials that the new coach tires give excellent performance. Our main priorities when purchasing tires are safety and price,” said Jos Derkum, technical director of Sales-Lentz.
