LONDON: North Sea Ekofisk crude differentials eased on Thursday while there was no trading of Forties, production of which halted this week after the discovery of a crack in the pipeline.
Deliveries of crude oil through the Forties pipeline are under force majeure for the first time in decades and operator INEOS said on Thursday there was no timeline yet for repairs that could last several weeks.
No Forties traded in the Platts window amid uncertainty over loading dates. Cargoes that had been scheduled to load from this week will be delayed, trade sources said.
