CHICAGO: Spot basis offers for soymeal weakened in the US rail market on Monday, under pressure from rising supplies amid a bumper US soybean harvest and rapid pace of crushing, dealers said.
Offers were unchanged in the truck market.
The basis also was flat for soymeal shipped by barge to the US Gulf.
Demand was routine, a dealer in the Kansas City area said.
At 11:48 a.m. CDT (1648 GMT), Chicago Board of Trade December soymeal futures were down 80 cents at $312.30 a ton.
