A total of 73 Lamborghini Huracán Super Trofeo Evo 2, all equipped with the high-performance Hankook Ventus Race tyre, produced a festival of magnificent motorsport at the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals, which took place from 16th to 17th November at Circuito de Jerez-Ángel Nieto in Spain. More than 10,000 fans at the Andalusian circuit were treated to captivating battles, during which Hankook’s premium product supported the drivers and their 600-hp sports cars with optimal grip. The grand finale brought the curtain down on Hankook’s second successful season as official tyre partner of the three continental Lamborghini Super Trofeo championships and the annual World Finals. The big winner of the event was Kazakhstan’s Egor Orudzhev from the ART-Line team, who was crowned champion in the Pro class courtesy of fifth place in the opening race and victory in race two.
After last year’s impressive premiere, the strong partnership between Hankook and Lamborghini Squadra Corse successfully carried on where it left off in the 2024 season. From March to November, the protagonists in the three continental Lamborghini Super Trofeo championships contested 18 events and a total of 36 races. The Hankook Ventus Race delivered its customary reliable grip for the sports cars from the Italian town of Sant’Agata Bolognese at a host of prestigious racetracks, including Circuit de Spa-Francorchamps in Belgium, Circuit de La Sarthe (France), the Nürburgring (Germany), and Laguna Seca and Sebring (both USA), as well as at Fuji Speedway and Hankook’s home event in Inje.
The outcomes of the continental championships were decided before the big showdown at the Lamborghini Super Trofeo World Finals. The Asian champion was Britain’s Daniel Philip Wells from the DW Evans GT team, who claimed four victories and finished in the points in every race. In Europe, the title went to last year’s World Finals winner, Amaury Bonduel from France. On the American continent, the championship was won by Americans Ernie Francis and Giano Taurino. The new season kicks off from 12th to 14thMarch 2025 at the iconic North American racetrack at Sebring in Florida.
