NEXEN TIRE has announced a strategic global marketing partnership with Germany’s premier football club, Bayern München, which will commence in the second half of the 2024-2025 season. Bayern München is one of the most successful clubs in Germany’s Bundesliga, having won a record six Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) Champions League titles.
As an official tyre partner, NEXEN TIRE will prominently exhibit its brand on LED display boards at Allianz Arena, the home stadium of Bayern München, targeting fans watching German and European club competitions. The company will display LED advertisements throughout Bayern München’s Bundesliga home games. These advertisements will also be broadcast on television in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland, further enhancing brand visibility. Furthermore, promotional campaigns leveraging Bayern München players will be developed to strengthen connections with global fans.
Europe is a key market for NEXEN TIRE, accounting for approximately 40% of the company’s total revenue and serving as a strategically vital region. To better connect with European consumers, NEXEN TIRE has chosen to support football, the continent’s most popular sport, through partnerships with prominent clubs like Bayern München. In particular, Bayern München’s home stadium, Allianz Arena, which seats over 75,000 spectators, provides an ideal venue for NEXEN TIRE to effectively engage with European audiences.
This partnership builds on NEXEN TIRE’s robust history of sports marketing in Europe, including a 12-year sponsorship of Bundesliga club Eintracht Frankfurt, as well as collaborations with Manchester City in the English Premier League, Juventus in Italy’s Serie A, and SK Slavia Prague in the Czech Republic.
Outside of Europe, NEXEN TIRE actively markets its brand in North America and the Middle East. To increase its presence in the United States, the company advertises at the home stadium of the San Diego Padres, a Major League Baseball team. In the Middle East, it sponsors Al Nasr SC, a professional football club in the UAE, hence increasing brand awareness in the region.
NEXEN TIRE’s strategic marketing efforts have helped to drive to strong financial performance, notably in Europe, where revenues have steadily increased over the last three years. In 2023, the company generated a record-high revenue of KRW 1,004.6 billion in Europe, owing to strong sales growth.
