Japan’s production of styrene butadiene rubber stood at 47,400 mt in November, up 11% from October and up 33% year on year, the Japan Petrochemical Industry Association said Thursday.
The country’s butadiene rubber output totaled 27,300 mt in November, up 30% from October and up 31% from a year ago, the data showed.
Synthetic rubber typically accounts for 27% of the composition of a tire used in passenger vehicles, while natural rubber makes up about 14%.
