Japan’s ethylene and ethylene derivatives exports in July rose 3.8% from a month earlier to 171,200 ethylene equivalent tons, or EET, Japan’s Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry said Wednesday, September 3. From a year earlier, the exports fell 11.6%.
Japan’s PVC exports posted the largest increase in July, jumping 76.7% from a month earlier to 15,675 EET.
Ethylene exports marked the sharpest decline, falling 9.3% from a month earlier to 55,567 EET.
Meanwhile, Japan’s ethylene and ethylene derivatives imports edged down 0.3% from a month earlier to 70,500 EET. From a year earlier, the imports were 17.7% higher.
