Hankook is not only the official technical partner and tyre supplier of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, but also the title sponsor of three very special rounds in 2023. The long-awaited start of the new season is on 14th January 2023 and is now officially called the Hankook Mexico City E-Prix. It is here that the Hankook iON Race – the new tyre for the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship – will make its race debut. In the future, all 22 drivers will line up on the new premium race tyre from Hankook. Hankook is also title sponsor of the final four races of Season 9. First up is the double-header in the Italian capital Rome, the Hankook Rome E-Prix from 15th to 16th July.
This is followed just 14 days later by the season finale in London. After races 15 and 16 at the Hankook London E-Prix, the new champion of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship will be crowned. Sooil Lee, President and CEO of Hankook Tire & Technology: “We are extremely proud to be title sponsor of three very high-profile rounds of the coming Formula E season. Experience shows that the public watches the season-opener and the finale particularly closely. We are also putting our name to the double-header in Rome, where it is possible that the destination of the title could be decided.”
Jamie Reigle, CEO, Formula E: “As new Technical Partner of the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, Hankook Tire is hitting the road hard as title sponsor at three of our most iconic race events.
