To help alleviate food poverty and respond to the wider cost of living crises people are experiencing this winter, CAM has allocated a sum of money to purchase groceries which it will donate to a selection of customers’ local food banks around the UK this Christmas.
Each of the local customers will receive a card illustrated with a photo of some of the CAM team in Christmas hats that explains the donation, naming their local foodbank that has received the support. Foodbanks chosen include Eastleigh Basics Bank, Winchester Basics Bank, Runcorn & District Foodbank, Worcester Foodbank, South Ayrshire Foodbank, Enniskillen Foodbank, Stafford Foodbank, Redditch Foodbank, Dartford Foodbank, Aylesbury Foodbank, Stoke-on-Trent Foodbank, Newtonabbey Foodbank, Hamilton District Foodbank, Andover Foodbank and Coalville Foodbank.
Chris Allen, Head of Product & People, says, “With such hardship in the UK at the present time, the CAM team was adamant that it wanted to break with the usual Christmas gift tradition and donate the equivalent sum of money to purchase much-needed food for so many. I’m really proud of the whole team for getting behind this very worthwhile cause, when there are families who are genuinely struggling to put food on the table.”
