HONG KONG: Shares in Hong Kong were up 0.29 percent by the end of the morning session Friday following a rally on Wall Street as talk over a US interest rate hike eased in reaction to weak American retail sales.
The benchmark Hang Seng Index added 68.94 points to 23,866.9 by lunch on turnover of HK$ 42.96 billion ($ 5.54 billion).
