© Reuters. Buenaventura says Peru silver mine resumes output after blockade
- Buenaventura ( -0.3%) says it has resumed normal operations at its Uchucchacua silver mine in Peru after a local Andean community ended a protest that had stopped production.
- The group ended its blockade after the government agreed to discuss demands for compensation for land use, BVN says in a filing with Peru’s market regulator.
- BVN has not said how production had been disrupted; Uchucchacua produced 38K kg of silver in September.
