Malaysian rubber prices closed lower today on an adjustment following the stronger ringgit to the US dollar yesterday, dealers said.
A dealer said buyers also remained on the sidelines, awaiting China’s latest manufacturing data, for a cue.
At noon, the Malaysian Rubber Board’s official physical price for tyre-grade SMR20 fell five sen to close at 714.50 sen a kg, while the latex-in-bulk was unchanged at 534 sen a kg.
The unofficial closing price for tyre-grade SMR20 dipped 2.5 sen to 716 sen a kg, while latex-in-bulk declined 0.5 sen to 534 sen a kg.– Bernama
