ETB Wholesale is currently empowering staff members to steer their careers in a variety of positive directions, with a number of colleagues promoted to senior roles in 2024.
The wholesale business is currently recruiting for a number of vacancies including driver and warehouse operator roles, following a successful seven months of trading this year.
Each position is created with the potential to develop, with opportunities to progress and gain industry qualifications and accreditations.
Operations Director Dave Isles said: “ETB prides itself on promoting staff internally, with many senior colleagues rising through the ranks to take on management roles. Across the ETB business we view each new position as an opportunity to forge a lasting career with us.
“If you’re ambitious and willing to put in the hard-yards, we’ll put you on the right road for a rewarding career and we’d encourage you to get in touch with us.”
Dean Joels and Kevin Pitt are just two of a number of colleagues to gain multiple promotions during their time with the business and are now thriving in senior positions.
Dean, aged 37, began as a driver before gaining a series of promotions, encompassing roles of warehouse operator, assistant warehouse manager, warehouse manager and now regional operations manager.
He also gained a category 1 level instructor qualification in reach trucks and forklifts operations during that time.
Kevin’s rise has been similarly impressive, starting out as a driver four years ago and gaining a diploma in driving assessment through company training. This facilitated a progression to today’s role of wholesale warehouse manager in Worcester.
Dean said: “I showed some ambition from an early stage and I was supported and encouraged to work my way up and gain the relevant qualifications, which ETB supported me with. I’ve been made to feel valued from the moment I arrived here and I’d encourage anyone in the industry to join us, as staff development is viewed as an essential part of the business.
Kevin, aged 42 added: “There is a natural line of progression and once you have your foot on the first rung of the ladder, you can move forward in a number of ways, and we’re an example of this. We began life as drivers, but there is so much potential to evolve from there.”
