Bridgestone has been driving forward with its support for a valued customer in more ways than one, after sponsoring their annual golf day in Sussex.
EG Wholesale were teeing it high and letting it fly at Goodwood Golf Club on Friday May 10th and Bridgestone’s efforts went more than a fair way towards a memorable event for everyone involved.
Elite are one of the south’s leading independent tyre, MOT, car service and forecourt operators with 18 retail sites and a booming wholesale operation. Bridgestone agreed toput its name next to the event and went on to inflate its presence around the course, as seen through a chipping challenge near the 10th hole, where players got the chance to show off their short games while learning more about the company’s range of premium products.
Elite’s chosen charity was the Mary How Trust, which offers health screenings to spot the early signs of cancer and other life-threatening illnesses. A total of £1,650 was raised for the cause.
Bridgestone’s Trade Marketing Executive Phil Berry said: “Elite are a hugely important customer of ours and their team have been big advocates of our products for many years now.
“We wanted to give something back and support them to ensure their day would be as memorable as possible. It was great to see our branding across the course and it was also a valuable exercise in being able to bring our tyre range to life for Elite’s wholesale customers too.”
Andy Mitchell, Sales Manager at Elite Group, said: “Having Bridgestone as our main sponsor has made for a brilliant day. To see their branding across the golf course was a wonderful sight. It added a sense of prestige to proceedings and we thank the Bridgestone sales team for their support.”
Andy said that business had been great at Elite Garages across its 18 retail sites and wholesale operation so far this year.
“We’ve gone from strength to strength in 2024, with potential to grow as a network in the months to come. We’re proud to offer the best professional advice to our customers and our relationship with Bridgestone allows us to keep on growing. We appreciate their support and look forward to more collaborations in the future.”
