Mitas sponsored the final round of the Eurocup Championship 2024, in collaboration with the North West Tractor Pulling Club (NWTPC). This prestigious event took place over three thrilling days from August 23rd to August 25th at Great Eccleston (UK), showcasing the best in tractor pulling.
The Eurocup Championship 2024 brought three Eurocup rounds and a full British point round to Great Eccleston. Mitas, as one of the Official Sponsors, had a significant presence throughout the event, highlighting its commitment to the sport and the agricultural community.
Mitas has developed specialised PowerPull 01 tyres specifically for tractor pulling, available in two sizes: 24.5L32 and 30.5L32. These high-performance tyres, fitted on some competition tractors, are engineered to provide maximum traction and durability, crucial for the demanding sport. Moreover, these tyres are produced without tread patterns so teams can create their own tread design.
The Mitas trailer featured an impressive display of competition-level tyres and the renowned tractor, Snoopy 3. Fans got up close with Snoopy 3, which achieved a strong 4th place in Europe last year and secured a win in the first round of the British Tractor pulling Association points in the heavy modified class. Snoopy 3, powered by two supercharged 36.7-litre V12 Rolls Royce Griffon engines, produces a combined output of 6,000hp. Originally built in the USA, it was rebuilt by the Forton, Lancashire-based father and son team Kevan and Josh Whittingham. Kevan Whittingham from Whittingham Farm Services Ltd. is also one of Mitas‘ key customers, further strengthening the partnership between the team and the brand.
David Miller, Managing Director at Yokohama TWS, UK and Ireland commented before the event: “We are excited to support the Eurocup Tractor Pulling Championship 2024 and to be part of this remarkable event. The Mitas PowerPull 01 tyres are designed to handle the extreme demands of tractor pulling, and we are proud to see them in action on machines like Snoopy 3. Mitas is committed to delivering high-quality, durable tyres for both competition and everyday agricultural use.”
Throughout the three-day event, Mitas staff were available to showcase a range of tyres designed for various agricultural applications and demonstrate how Mitas tyres can assist with farmer’s everyday work and challenges.
